- At the library, Budget Registration Codes (BRC) are used to identify budget, and make deductions from the specified budget (research funds etc.)
- Follow the instructions on this page, please complete the application process according to "Registering Individual Budget". when applying for a BRC to be shared by multiple people in a project or a group.
- Applications are accepted at all times throughout a given fiscal year. The BRC will remain valid until the person in charge requests to cancel it.
- If there are any changes to the registered account (section transfer, change of person in charge of an organization, change in account information), promptly contact the Books Ordering & Accessioning Section of the University of Tsukuba Library, Division of Information Processing and Management (ext. 2351, 2352).
Notice (Group Budget)
- Make sure to enter the name of the representative, and add a seal or signature.
- Although the buget name can be anything, avoid generic terms. Name the budgets to that they can be identified with the representative, project, etc.
- Good example:“XX Research Project,” “YY Research Group,” etc...
- Bad example: “Research Funds,” “Project Expenses,” “Group Budget,” etc....
- Apply for web service use after completing budget registration.
- There is no link setting between a user ID and group BRC.
Using the Web Service
To use the library web service for group budgets, fill out the application form below, and submit to the Books Ordering & Accessioning Section at the library.
When the procedure is complete, a notification will be sent to the applicant by campus mail.

- Take care of the password and keep strictly.
One password will be issued per BRC.
The library is not responsible for any abuse caused by password leakage etc. - If you want to have your group BRC password reissued, check the password reissue column of the above application form, and submit to the Books & Ordering & Accessioning Section at Library.
- There is no link setting between a user ID and group BRC.
- Make sure to contact the library if there are any changes to the registered information.
Notes on Using Photocopy/Inter-Library Loan Services
- When entering the Photocopy/Inter-Library Loan application page, make sure to provide the “section/contact information,” “e-mail address,” and “user ID” of the applicant.
If these fields are not filled in, the library will contact the administrator of the group budget. - If the contact information is unclear, the library may decide to cancel the application.
- The confirmation mail for photocopy/inter-library loan will be sent to both the administrator of the BRC and the applicant.
