Maximum Items and Loan Period
Different conditions apply according to your status at the University of Tsukuba.
If you are not sure of your borrowing limit, show your library card and inquire at the main counter.

Using the Self-Checkout Machine
Have the books you want to borrow and your library card ready.
You can check out books with the self-checkout machine in the library.
If you are unable to check out with the machine, go to the main counter.
Making Renewals with “My Library”
You can check your loan situation through the web service “My Library.”
If you have not finished the book by the due date, you can renew your loan period on “My Library.”
If you have problems accessing “My Library,” take the book and your library card to the main counter for renewal.
The loan period is 3 weeks from the date of the renewal.
You cannot make renewals in the following cases:
- The book is reserved by other users
- You have unreturned overdue material
- During an overdue penalty period
