This is a full-text database that contains social sciences literature from the mid-15th century through the mid- 20th century.

MOMW-I: The Goldsmiths'-Kress Library of Economic Literature 1450-1850.

This database contains 61,000 documents, focusing mainly on economic history, business history and social philosophy history from the mid-15th century through 1850, as well as the full text from 466 magazines from the same period.
This contains digitized versions of the full text of “The Goldsmiths'-Kress Library of Economic Literature” collection (not in University of Tsukuba Library collection), which consists of microfilms of the collections of the University of London Goldsmith Library as well as the Kress Library of Business and Economics at the Harvard Business School, totaling about 12 million pages.

MOMW-II: Making of the Modern World, Part II: 1851-1914.

This contains about 5,000 titles and over 1.2 million pages covering the fields of sociology, economics and business history from the late 19th century through the early 20th century.
The original collections are from Columbia University, Hiroshima University of Economics Seligman Collection, University of Kansas Library, and the University of London Goldsmith Library, consisting mainly of books, reports, communications, speeches, and research reports. About 50% of the records are in languages other than English (including French, German, Portuguese, Scandinavian, Italian, and Spanish).

 

MOMW-III: The Making of the Modern World Part III: 1890-1945.

This collection is comprised of about a million pages of monographs and periodicals from Senate House and Goldsmiths’ Libraries. The key events that have shaped the modern world -the First World War, the Great Depression, and the Second World War- are covered.The Making of the Modern World, Part III: 1890–1945 build on the previously published archives overlapping Part II, 1851-1914 chronologically with no duplication of content.Most of the content is in English, and the content which is in French, German, and other western languages is also included.
