Services available on the website

The following services are available at home via the library website.

1.Inquiries via e-mail or the online form.

 Research Consultation
 University of Tsukuba Library accepts inquiries via e-mail or the online form.
 Please contact us if you have questions (about using the library, finding library materials, etc.).

2.Doctoral dissertations, internal works on campus

 Tsukuba repository
 It is an academic content database that can be accessed by anyone free of charge via the Internet.
 The research and educational achievements (academic papers, doctoral dissertations from 2014, research reports, teaching materials, etc.) on campus.

3.Digitized materials, rare books collection

 You can view several digitized pictures of some "Japanese style books" and "Rare books" on the search result screen of the OPAC.

4.Databases, E-journals, E-books (Campus members only)

 You can access them marked “R” on the right side, via campus network when you are home.

 On detailed search of online catalog, you can search by specifying the material type as "E-books".

 Some of publishers provide information about COVID-19 and open their contents (E-journals/ E-books/ online course materials) to support home study for a limited time.

5.Managing reference documents (Campus members only)

 RefWorks (reference documents management tool)
 You can build and manage a database of personal references by importing search results from a reference database.
 A new and improved version of RefWorks has been available since April 2020.
 Data migration from the old RefWorks requires some work. See the description at the link.

6.Workshop (Campus members only)

 Library Workshops
 Due to preventive measures against coronavirus disease, Library Workshops are held online.
 To join the workshop or watch the video, you need to register for the course of manaba.
 For more information, please check "How to join Library Workshops".

7.Student Support Desk online support (Campus members only)

 At the Student Support Desk, Learning Advisers (LA), graduate students will support our students' studies through the discussion.
 You can access the desk online. (14:00-19:00 on weekdays (Term Period))
 Please make a reservation from the following form by the previous day.

8. 360°VR Panoramas

  The panoramas provide 360° photos of the facilities of the Central Library,  Art and Physical Education Library and Otsuka Library.
