Infobase Publishing is one of America's leading providers of supplemental educational materials to the school and library markets. This is an e-book platform consisting of Japanese books for academic institutions (reference books, enlightenment and culture texts, specialized field books). At University of Tsukuba about 1300 volumes related to sports, medicine, Japanese culture, etc. can be accessed.

Humanities and social sciences

Blackwell Reference Online

A digital collection of humanities and social science reference books. Includes dictionaries, handbooks for beginners, textbooks, etc. For each article, there is a summary of the latest research by experts at the forefront in the field, as well as a list of references. It can be used as the entry to new fields of research, and as a starting point for the preparation of reports and seminar presentations. From University of Tsukuba, it is possible to access approximately 720 titles in all fields published online from 2007 to 2015.

  • It is possible to browse by field, or “Search” within the full text.
  • Search results are displayed for each chapter.
  • Text is displayed in HTML format. It is possible to save and print pages for personal use.

EEBO now contains page images of virtually every work printed in England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales and British North America and works in English printed elsewhere from 1473-1700. This incomparable collection contains more than 130,000 titles and more than 17 million scanned pages.

This is the online version of the reference books published by Gale Inc.t University of Tsukuba you can access 240 titles, mainly in fields related to sports.

The Making of the Modern World

This is a full-text database that contains social sciences literature from the mid-15th century through the early 20th century. It is roughly divided into the two databases below, and cross-searches are possible.

MOMW-I: The Goldsmiths'-Kress Library of Economic Literature 1450-1850.
This database contains 61,000 documents, focusing mainly on economic history, business history and social philosophy history from the mid-15th century through 1850, as well as the full text from 466 magazines from the same period.
This contains digitized versions of the full text of “The Goldsmiths'-Kress Library of Economic Literature” collection (not in University of Tsukuba Library collection), which consists of microfilms of the collections of the University of London Goldsmith Library as well as the Kress Library of Business and Economics at the Harvard Business School, totaling about 12 million pages.
MOMW-II: Making of the Modern World, Part II: 1851-1914.

This contains about 5,000 titles and over 1.2 million pages covering the fields of sociology, economics and business history from the late 19th century through the early 20th century.
The original collections are from Columbia University, Hiroshima University of Economics Seligman Collection, University of Kansas Library, and the University of London Goldsmith Library, consisting mainly of books, reports, communications, speeches, and research reports. About 50% of the records are in languages other than English (including French, German, Portuguese, Scandinavian, Italian, and Spanish).

Contemporary Mathematics

This is the digital version of the Contemporary Mathematics series issued by AMS (American Mathematical Society). The summaries of conference proceedings, such international and academic conferences held in various countries, are contributed by researchers active in each of the fields, and the recorded documents are guaranteed to have undergone a high-level of peer review. Titles issued from 2012 - 2014 (Volume CONM/561 ~ 630) are available for use by University of Tsukuba members.
