Library Tour

This page describes about a visit to observe the library building and facility. If you would like to use library materials, please refer to On-site User Services.

Individuals do not need to apply in advance for a private tour.
Please fill out the "Application for Visit" form at the counter of each library and follow the instructions of the staff.
For group tours, please see "Group Tour" below.

Requests for visitors (for both individuals and groups)

  • Visits should be no longer than 30 minutes.
  • Please be quiet during the tour so as not to disturb the library users.
  • Library materials, reading seats, and PCs are not available.
  • Photography inside the building is prohibited. (Including photographs taken with cell phones and smartphones)
  • Eating and drinking are prohibited during the tour.

Group Tour

If you wish to visit the library in a group (up to 30 people), please contact us at least one week prior to the desired date of visit.

  • Please split into groups of about 10 people in the library and move separately.
  • We reserve the right to refuse a tour if there is a conflict with another tour appointment.
  • During exam periods, etc., visits may be restricted to off-campus visitors in order to give priority to the use of the University's students.

The images show the interior of the Central Library, the Art and Physical Education Library, and the Otsuka Library.
The various types of reading seating, library facilities, and material locations are introduced.
