University of Tsukuba Digital Collections has been renewed

On Wednesday, October 29, 2025, the University of Tsukuba Digital Collections was renewed.

The University of Tsukuba Digital Collections is a website where users can search and access images of rare materials held by the University of Tsukuba.
This website was launched in March 2024 and supports IIIF (International Image Interoperability Framework), a widely used international framework for sharing images.

[Trial] Added Digital Collections image display functionality to the top page

Wednesday, October 29, 2025, New features have been added to the top page of the University of Tsukuba Library website.

The top left of the top page randomly displays images of materials selected from the University of Tsukuba Digital Collections.
Clicking an image will take you to the detail page of the item in the University of Tsukuba Digital Collections.

Emergency maintenance will be carried out on the library PCs (Oct 23, 2:15–2:45 PM).

We will conduct emergency maintenance on the library PCs at the following date and time.

Thursday, October 23, 2025, 2:15–2:45 PM

During this period, internet browsers on the library PCs will be unavailable.
*Zengaku Computer System will remain available as usual.

Temporary Closure and Suspension of the Extended-hours Utilization (Otsuka Library)

The extended-hours utilization of Otsuka Library is available from November 12(Wed.) because the facility replacement has been completed earlier than expected.

Due to facility replacement, Otsuka Library will be temporarily closed and the extended-hours utilization of Otsuka Library will not be available as follows;

Due to the maintenance of the servers, some library web services will be unavailable as follows.

Sunday, October 19, 2025, there will be several interruptions each lasting approximately 1 minutes between 14:00 and 16:00

    • Some Web forms（Submission may fail due to errors.）
    • Web pages for Exhibition/Events and other related pages
  • University of Tsukuba Digital Collections (Images cannot be displayed.）

Other services are available as usual.
 

Free Ebook Trial Service Part 2 (Oct 1～Dec 31)

In order to support teaching and learning, we provide an eBook trial service again!

You can try any part of the eBooks from the following eBook platforms for free for five minutes per title. You may also submit a purchase request to the library.

Titles that have been viewed or requested a lot will be considered for purchase by the library. Please take this opportunity to try out the eBooks, which are convenient for study and research at home.
