System transition from Lexis.com to Lexis Advance.

Legal database Lexis.com will be transited to Lexis Advance.
For this reason, the University of Tsukuba Library will start to make a transition from Lexis.com to Lexis Advance in January 2017. The work is scheduled to be completed by the end of February 2017. (Even after the transition, both Lexis.com and Lexis Advance interfaces will be available for a while.)

Looking for New Learning Advisers in 2017

We are looking for the graduate students as New Learning Adviser of the Central Library in 2017. All the applicants for Learning Adviser should be able to speak, read and write the Japanese language.
*Application period: January 4th to January 31st, 2017.

Oxford English Dictionary(OED) Online added to the library e-resource collection.

We have purchased the Oxford English Dictionary(OED) online.
(Available as a trial until March 31, 2017, as a subscription database from April 1.)

The OED Online is the most authoritative and comprehensive record of the English language in the world,
tracing the evolution and use of more than 600,000 words through over 3 million quotations.

昨年度大変好評だった「英語論文の書き方」セミナーを、今年度も開催いたします。
今年度は「英語プレゼンテーション」セミナーも併せての開催です。

「英語で論文を書いて投稿したけれど、受理されない、引用されない。」「英語でのプレゼンテーションがうまくいかない」などといった悩みをお持ちの本学の学生、教職員の方は是非ご参加ください。
多くの大学や研究機関で好評を得ている西川マリ先生を講師に迎え、日本人が陥りやすい英語論文の落とし穴、悪い癖など、ワンランク上の執筆に役立つお話や国際会議で聴衆に深い印象を与える方法をわかりやすく解説していただきます。

Notice of Emergency Disaster Drill at the University of Tsukuba（November 18th）

Emergency Disaster Drill will be held on Nov. 18th, Friday at the University of Tsukuba.
 Library users are supposed to evacuate to the nearest outdoor evacuation site according to the Library staff's instructions.
 During the drill, you cannnot enter the Library.
 All of the service counters will be closed until the end of the drill.
