As part of the first phase of the 2026 academic year, KinoDen, provided by Kinokuniya Bookstore, will be available for a limited time.
You can try any part of the eBooks available on the following eBook platforms for free for up to five minutes per title. You may also submit a purchase request to the library.
Titles that have been viewed or requested a lot will be considered for purchase by the library. Please take this opportunity to explore these eBooks , which are convenient to use anywhere.

How to use
- Click on the platform name above to access the respective site. If you are accessing from off campus, please log in with your ID and password for unified authentication before use
- Search by keyword or other criteria.
- You may read the full text of each title you wish to try for up to 5 minutes per title, with unlimited simultaneous access.
(Please note that some titles may not be available for trial reading due to publisher restrictions.) - After 5 minutes, you will be redirected to the end-of-use or request screen. If you want to continue reading, please wait for a while and reconnect.
- By clicking the “Request” button, you can submit a purchase request to the library. Please feel free to send us your suggestions.
- When you finish using the site, be sure to click the "End browsing" button to log out.

Caution
- Trial eBooks are available for reading only. Printing and downloading are not permitted.
- This platform also includes eBooks that have already been purchased by the University of Tsukuba. These titles are clearly displayed on the platform.
- After a certain period, titles for purchase will be selected based on the library’s selection criteria, taking into account factors such as the number of views, existing library holdings, budget availability, and other considerations. (Please note that not all of the requested books will be purchased.)

eBooks that may be requested through this service must be used to support online teaching and learning. Requests for materials intended for faculty or staff research are not eligible. If you would like to purchase materials directly related to your classes, please refer to the"Course Reserves" or "Faculty Book Recommendations" pages and submit your request using the designated procedures. We will respond as promptly as possible.
