Osaka is a booming center in the western Japan with rich resources of commerce, education and culture. Osaka University, one such symbolic institution in Osaka, is one of the most acclaimed universities in Japan. A Nobel Prize laureate, Professor Hideki Yukawa, once had a position in physics there. More than 24,000 students strive for excellence on three campuses, Suita, Toyonaka, and Minoh.

Its research and educational facilities include 11 schools, 15 graduate schools, and 5 research institutes.

Conference site

DRF International Conference 2008 will be held in Icho Kaikan, Suita Campus of Osaka University. Registration desk will open in the lobby on the 3rd floor during the conference period. The whole event including a keynote speech, a panel discussion, three sessions, and a reception will take place in Hankyu-Sanwa Hall on the 3rd floor. Posters will be displayed in the foyer. Lunch and coffee/tea are available on the same floor.
