Access to Tsukuba Station (Tsukuba Center)

• Arriving by Train
  • Tsukuba Express
    • Get on the Tsukuba Express and get off at the final stop, Tsukuba station.
      （45 to 57 minutes from Akihabara station）
  • By JR Joban Line
    • Take the JR Joban Line and get off at one of the following stations; Hitachinoushiku station, Arakawaoki station, or Tsuchiura station.
    • From the station transfer to a Kanto Railway Co. bus (“Kantetsu Bus”) bound for either Tsukuba Center or Tsukuba Daigaku Chuo (University of Tsukuba Central).
      （If you board a bus bound for Tsukuba Daigaku Chuo (University of Tsukuba Central), there is no need to transfer at Tsukuba Center.）
• Arriving by Highway Bus
  • From the Yaesu South entrance of Tokyo station, board a highway bus bound for University of Tsukuba (Tsukuba Daigaku) or Tsukuba Center. Get off at the bus stop closest to the library(When you visit the Art and Physical Education Library, Daigaku Kaikan is the closest bus stop). (about 65 to 90 minutes)
  • Buses are available from Haneda Airport, Narita Airport, Ibaraki Airport, Mito station, Osaka station and Kyoto station.

Directions from Tsukuba Station (Tsukuba Center) to University of Tsukuba Library (Art and Physical Education Library)

• When exiting from the A4 exit of Tsukuba station, the No. 6 bus stop will be at the far right(If you use the elevator, get off the elevator next to the A3 exit, the No.6 stop is on the left.). Board a Kanto Railway Co. bus (“Kantetsu Bus”); either Tsukuba Daigaku Junkan, Migi-Mawari (University of Tsukuba Loop, clockwise) route or a bus bound for Tsukuba Daigaku Chuo (University of Tsukuba Central).
• Get off at Tsukuba Daigaku Nishi. About 10 minutes from Tsukuba Center.

(「筑波大学附属図書館」(University of Tsukuba Library) in this map is the Central Library.The Art and Physical Education Library is at the bottom right of this map. )

• Get off at Tsukuba Daigaku Nishi (About 10 minutes from Tsukuba Center).
  (When you take a highway bus bound for Univerisity of Tsukuba, get off at Daigaku Kaikan and walk back 140m. You can find Tsukuba Daigaku Nishi bus stop.)
• Walk back 20m from the bus stop (1), and turn left and across the road (Watch out for traffic).
• Go up the slope on your front left.
• Walk along a road. Turn right at the end of the road and turn left after crossing the bridge.
• Proceed to the right and you will see the Art and Physical Education Library on your right side.

<Notes>

• There is no parking lot for the University of Tsukuba Library. Parking on the university campus is limited. Using public transportation when visiting the library is recommended.
• If you must come by car, refer to the Access Route Map, and stop at the  Main Gate (Chuo-guchi) Information Center near the Administration Center to inform them that you will be visiting the Art and Physical Education Library, and receive instructions about where to park.
  The walk from the indicated parking lot to the Art and Physical Education Library may be about 10 minutes.
