Access to Tsukuba Station (Tsukuba Center)

• Arriving by Train
  • By Tsukuba Express
    • Get on the Tsukuba Express and get off at the final stop, Tsukuba station.
      (45 to 63 minutes from Akihabara station)
  • By JR Joban Line
    • Take the JR Joban Line and get off at one of the following stations; Hitachinoushiku station, Arakawaoki station, Tsuchiura station. (in Japanese)
    • From the station transfer to a Kanto Railway Co. bus (“Kantetsu Bus”) bound for either Tsukuba Center or Tsukuba Daigaku Chuo (University of Tsukuba Central).
      (If you board a bus bound for Tsukuba Daigaku Chuo (University of Tsukuba Central), there is no need to transfer at Tsukuba Center.)
• Arriving by Highway Bus
  • Near the Yaesu South gate of Tokyo station, board a highway bus bound for University of Tsukuba (Tsukuba Daigaku) or Tsukuba Center. (in Japanese) Get off at the Tsukuba Daigaku Byoin, or Tsukuba Center bus stop. (about 65 to 90 minutes)
  • The bus is also available from Haneda Airport, Narita Airport, Ibaraki Airport, Mito station, and Osaka station and Kyoto station.

Directions from Tsukuba Station (Tsukuba Center) to University of Tsukuba Library (Medical Library)

• When exiting from the A3 exit of Tsukuba station, the No.6 bus stop will be at the far right. (If you use the elevator, when you get off the elevator next to the A3 exit, the No.6 stop is on the left.) Board a Kanto Railway Co. bus (“Kantetsu Bus”); either Tsukuba Daigaku Junkan, Migi-Mawari (University of Tsukuba Loop, clockwise) route or a bus bound for Tsukuba Daigaku Chuo (University of Tsukuba Central).
• Get off at Tsukuba Daigaku Byoin Iriguchi. 5 to 10 minutes from Tsukuba Center.

• Get off at Tsukuba Daigaku Byoin Iriguchi bus stio. 5 to 10 minutes from Tsukuba Center. (If you board a highway bus, get off at Tsukuba Daigaku Byoin bus stop.) Go up narrow slope on the right of bus stop. (1)
• Turn left on the bridge. Medical Library is the low building on the front. That is the Medical Library. (2)

Notes

• There is no parking lot for University of Tsukuba Library. Parking on the university campus is limited. Using public transportation when visiting the library is recommended.
• If you must come by car, refer to the Access Route Map and stop at the Main Gate (Chuo-guchi) Information Center or Matsumi Gate (Matsumi-guchi) Information Center near University Hospital to inform them that you will be visiting the Medical Library, and receive instructions about where to park.   The walk from the indicated parking lot to the Medical Library may be about 10 minutes.
