The  exhibition room of the central library was temporarily closed from April 16th 2020.
It will be opened from May 6th(Thu.) as follows taking measures to prevent the spread of infection.
*When the situation of infectious diseases worsens, the rare book exhibition room will be temporarily closed again.

We have started the journal binding works at Central Library.

• We will pick up journals published mainly in year 2019(Heisei 31 / Reiwa 1).
  *Please remind that some journals can not be available depending on the timing.

When the University of Tsukuba Library does not have the books or journals you need, and you wish to visit the other university's/institution's library to use them, you can request to issue the letter of introduction.(On-campus members only)

The webform has been opened so that you can apply for issuing a letter of introduction without visiting the library.
Please log in to "My Library" and apply from "Request for the Letter of Introduction".

In Central Library, Main Counter and Reference Desk are joined together to actualize one-stop service.

Considering accessibility, new counter tables also convenient for wheelchair users are introduced. Additionally, Volunteer Counter is moved near the entrance gate to be more accessible.

We will strive to be more user-friendly library for all visitors. We look forward to your continued visit to the Central Library.

The Central Library will be closed from March 16th to 18th for main counter renovation and other works.

The trial is conducted as below in the Central Library so that long-stay users may spend comfortably.

Newly expanded Drink Area : Reading desks (except Machinery areas), Study cubicles, Conference room
Newly expanded Food & Drink Area：Lounges

The bicycle parking lots on the north of the entrance and the east of the cafe (indicated below) are to be abolished at the end of March 2020, for the safety of pedestrians (especially visually impaired people and wheelchair users). We sincerely ask you to use the other vacant parking lots.
We appreciate your understanding of our policy to make the Central Library more accessible to all.

A lecture will be held for the Special Exhibition 2019 of University of Tsukuba Library.
The working language of this event is Japanese.

1940年と1964年の東京オリンピックに際して日本がどのようにオリンピックを受容していったのかを、現在展示中のオリンピック関連書籍やコレクションから考えていきます。
筑波大学に縁の深い嘉納治五郎氏・金栗四三氏のお話や、NHK大河ドラマ「いだてん」の裏話など、ここでしか聞けない話題が盛りだくさんです。
